Depending on the number of fish in your tank, the feeder block might not be fully consumed when you return from vacation. The feederdoes not disintegrate on its own. If there is food left you can leave the block in the tank and feed again with your regular food. Since fish feed at their option, the block will not cause overfeeding or pollute the tank. If you keep particulary large, hungry fish such as loaches or large Cichlids you can add another feeding block to the recommended amount.
